Many thanks to the hundreds who tuned in..Yes we had some technical problems and then some..lol..But we'll be raring to go for the next match and fingers crossed be able to outwit those pesky gremlins..lol
Our congratulations to both teams on a superb first match..
It was a real privilage to see both teams play to such a high standard and in such a professional manner.
Both teams conducted themselves with great dignity and sportsmanship throughout the evening..A great advert for the game and its community..
They should all be rightly proud of themselves and their team mates..Well done all.

Great match!
But my one ? is........... since I have been competing in sports up until 4 yrs ago, is why the diff. # of RDS for the final...... I have never been apart of that in sports? The finals are always the same as the reg. tourny?

The Tournament was designed to play the final in this way.
With teams competing from 2 different continents playing a final match in each continent was the fairest way for those competing.
I must admit it has added a more dramatic feel to the an already tense affair.
Will the talented Team Chaos from the USA overcome the odds and come from behind to beat the mighty DP or will the Russian machine simply crush them underfoot..
After last weeks very close match it is honestly just to close to call..
I just hope we see another match as equally enthralling as last Sunday's..
It may well end up being decided on the total points scored by both teams over the entire two matches as per the tie-break rules.
Can't wait..

RO2 Scorched Earth reached the finals!

After months of matches there are now just 2 clans left in this tournament. These 2 clans have beaten all of their previous opponents and will now play against each other in this massive final stage of the Scorched Earth tournament for the grand prize of $8000 dollars and the 2nd place with $4000 dollars.
Who will win the tournament is decided in an exciting two legged battle of which 1 match will be played on the United States continent and 1 match will be played on the European continent. The clan that comes out best out of this last massive battle will be the winner of the grand Scorched Earth tournament for Red Orchestra 2: Heroes of Stalingrad organized by Forgotten Honor, Tripwire Interactive and The Wild Bunch Clan

Daylight Savings notification
Last night the daylight savings time came into effect in Europe again after a year. Due to this we had to change the Central European Time of the match that is being played tonight to ensure that both finalists ( Team Chaos in the United States and DoublePenetration in Russia ) can play on the exact time they agreed on.
This means that the broadcast will go live at 20:45CET ( 14:45 East US Time ) and the match will be starting at 21:00CET ( 15:00 East US Time )
To make it easy for all of us, we have included a countdown clock on the livestream page that will show you when the broadcast is going live. Please keep an eye on the livestreampage. We also will be announcing the broadcast on Twitter, Facebook and Steam when we go live as last week.

Scorched Earth has ended
After months of battling, training and stressing, the tournament has finally ended for all those clans that participated.
Just two clans survived having beaten all of their previous opponents and just two more matches lay in front of them.
For the last two weeks these surviving clans have fought in an epic tournament final and today we are happy to announce the winners of the Scorched Earth Countdown Tournament.
But first we want to thank everybody who made this tournament possible and worked together with us to make this such a massive event, So our unreserved thanks go to the following:
Tripwire Interactive, The Wild Bunch clan, all of the participating clans, Gamingdeluxe.co.uk ( European Server Sponsor ), NFOservers ( United States Server Sponsor) and of course all of you who followed this tournament through to its conclusion.

Surviving many battles two clans emerged bloodied but unscathed, DoublePenetration from the EU and Team Chaos from the US both reaching the final after winning their respective divisions.
The final battles were fought out on commissars House, Station, Barracks, Spartanovka, Fallen Fighters, Pavlovs House to determine who would become the champions of the Scorched Earth tournament.
After two fantastic matches DoublePenetration from the EU finally took 1st place with Team Chaos gallantly taking 2nd place.
