Why facepalm? Could it be that they are not playing solely to level up, but also because they simply enjoy the game?

It's not an MMORPG, the most rewarding thing about the game will most likely be the gameplay itself, not leveling.

something COD players have forgotten, its all about the leveling in that game for many, almost MMORPG like. But the reward system is structured in a brilliant way in that there is always one unlock that just little bit away to keep players hocked.

Anyways 500 Hours!!, thats years of work.

Also other news out of gamescom is that a almost Tripwire esk RO type game is coming. A WW2 mod of ARMA 2 is being made into a game called Iron Front: Liberation 1944. Wonder if they had saw the success of RO and thats why they are lucky in getting it made into a game.
