We did actually consider the Solothurn - but it is such a beast that we couldn't put it in as anything sensible. Sprint across the map with it, mantle a wall and duck into cover, before popping up to deploy it and picking off a T-34? Even Governator Schwarzie coulnd't pull that off
Out of curiosity, did the armorer say they sounded similar? My guess is it would sound like something between the PTRD and 39, as the PTRD fires the same cartridge.

Maybe we're just thinking about the report from the discharge. But maybe the rechambering and all sounds closer.
It's possible TWI will simply drop in the report from, say a PTRD in, but have the rest of the action sounds come from the 39.
