M16A4 service rifle. This was taken about two hours after we finished the 20k hump...our last physical graduation requirement. Then we had to do MOUT and BSRE exercises and we were done! Picture taken about 3 weeks ago.

Du-rags have been used since the 1930s. It's to wrap your hair to keep it flat. Flat hair that is properly groomed leads to hair waves. Hair waves are fashionable, it can also be used to hold any short hair including cornrows.
