The original Washington Monument is still around! Overlooking Boonsboro, Maryland from South Mountain.
Was a fun project to light...
3 Vivitar 285HV flashes (cheapie...30 year old buggers) w/ Pocket Wizard radio triggers, 2 to either side of the camera, 1 clamped to the handrail inside the monument with a Yellow gel, and 1 Nikon SB-80 hand held by my assistant.
woop woop, what a week it has been! I had some BS assignments in town during the afternoon, and one at night out at the Speedway. Welp, it rained like a mofo, and I was called-off and went home. On t'other side of the mountain there was no rain, just lots of lightning. I pulled off the road, set up my tripod and shutter cable and started clicking. Shot specs: 35 seconds, at f11 and ISO 100.
I just can't wait for Putz to slip up and not blur out the names on the RO and Steam icons in the bottem of the screen. Unless they are permanently blurred...
