my new desktop...taken in Winslow, AZ last week. To the right is I-40 and in the back are the San Francisco Peaks.

and it's much more intuitive. Comes with mac's equivalent of expose' which I guess is a 2d version of aero? Aero is amost useless. If it wasn't for this cube thing, i'd have no need for multiple desktops really. I'm not quite sure what the point is yet besides having tons of windows and programs open at the same time.

Isn't expose that little thing where you move the mouse to a corner of the screen and all the windows open are exposed while the desktop darkens? Beryl has this feature. Oh yeah, next version of ubuntu that comes out in april (Feisty Fawn, 7.04) will already have compiz which is similar to Beryl but not as flashy I think.

Compiz is what Beryl is based on. The main difference is that the Beryl guys take code fromt he Compiz guys, while those can not do that themselves (because of different licenses) and as far as I know the Beryl guys hardly changed something of the main components.
