[13:11] <jcoquillon> they spring open rex
[13:11] <jcoquillon> you just release them
[13:11] <[MN]Rex> so you dont have to pull them down and THEN let go to expand them
[13:12] <[MN]Rex> you just have to undo the catch and then the rest takes care of itself
[13:12] <MrPieman> O_O
[13:12] <[MN]Rex> 2 motions vs 1 motion
[13:12] <jcoquillon> I think if you squeeze them in closer together
[13:12] <jcoquillon> the catch automaticlaly pops open
[13:12] <jcoquillon> so when you release
[13:12] <[MN]Rex> and then you let go
[13:12] <jcoquillon> they spring open
[13:13] <[MN]BobJoel|aroundish> are we talking about guns

o_O

<Psyman2>All these yankees with their am/pm sh*t don't know anything, I enjoy everyday 13:37

but I think this one is better (because its from me :p)

Cuck Norris' clock always shows 13:37 and he doesn't even have a digital clock.

(*Looks at clock* its time)

Further to Putz's rather perceptive comment....

Why I Hate Macs by Charlie Brooker

For those that can't be arsed to click on the link here is a great quote from the article:

Myst, the most pompous and boring videogame of all time, a plodding, dismal "adventure" in which you wandered around solving tedious puzzles in a rubbish magic kingdom apparently modelled on pretentious album covers, originated on the Mac in 1993. That same year, the first shoot-'em-up game, Doom, was released on the PC. This tells you all you will ever need to know about the Mac's relationship with "fun".

First of all, the first "shoot-em-up" game was NOT Doom, it was Wolfenstein 3D, which was released for DOS in 1992 and ported to the Apple II (among other systems) sometime between 1992 and 1995 (I coudn't find an exact date).

Second, I'd like to add that Myst (and its sequels) sold 12 million copies, A number that wasn't toppled until The Sims came along.

Third, in 1994 the first of the Marathon trilogy of FPS's was released for the Mac. While I can be pretty sure that you have never heard of Marathon, you might like to know that Marathon was the FPS that Bungie made before Halo (which was also supposed to be for the Mac, before Microsoft bought Bungie out).

So :p you noob.

Wow - yeah - ur so right - think of all the time I have wasted playing games on the PC when there is such a rich fulfilling gaming experience awaiting me on the white plastic Fisher-Price toy:rolleyes:. Let's face it, the reason a game as mind-numbingly dull as Myst sold 12 million copies is probably because there is so little competition for Mac users to squander their gaming money on.

Maybe this should go to another thread. I will start one called "Why macs r000xxxx j00000" and see what kind of posts it attracts. ;) :p

Incidentally, Charlie Brooker, who writes for the Guardian now, used to write for PC Zone magazine some years ago and for it he wrote some of the funniest reviews you will read of anything ever. Even today I can still remember his review of GTA when it first came out.

Most copies of Myst sold for Windows.

Prove it.

Actually don't bother - the argument is, in essence, about whether gaming on PC is more rewarding than gaming on the mac. If sales figures are proof of anything perhaps it would be better to take the global view and look at sales figures for PC's vs macs.
