looks like URL's are displaying as the same color as the rest of the text, meaning they'll be hard to find.
i guess colors not being quite as extreme to each end of the spectrum would help with that.

And white writing on black background, literally makes my eyes hurt. Not liking the wip-ness of the forum at all.
inversely, Black Text on a White background makes my eyes hurt. because my entire monitor is lit up like a christmas tree. the entire thing is lit up as bright as it can go.
even on my previous Monitor that was before the age of LED backlighting, i still felt the same way, despite the more 'mundane' brightness of Fluorescent backlighting.
for tracking the attention of humans, it makes sense for more important page content to be a brighter color than backgrounds and unimportant parts.
our eyes are naturally drawn towards brighter colors. so the text being the lightest shade on the entire page, makes sense on a Website. that doesn't mean it needs to be 255,255,255 on top of 0,0,0 - absolutely not.
this is also why Advertisements have highly saturated, bright flashing colors. because that gets the most attention, is most likely to draw eyes to, Et Cetera.
