I think we're losing sight of the real situation at hand here.

How is a character from a Nintendo game supposed to do something in a game that doesn't have pattern based memorization combat and nothing glowy to hit?

1- JOOR ZAH FRUL
2- Hit with the dagger
3- Drink health potion
4- Hit with the dagger
5- Drink health potion

Repeat until the 50000th dragon dies.


Isn't that a pattern?

Clearly I'm talking about the basis of Nintendo's overuse of rule of three pattern combat by enemies. As in you can predict its exact behaviour every time.

Dragons obviously have a set amount of behaviours, but one doesn't dictate the necessity of another specific one to follow up.

I thought that was obvious.
