It's even more sad when you can see people supporting ideas that have a torrid history of bloodshed; I've heard a number of people advocating for just 'killing all the people in group X will solve this problem'. Or many other cases where people will advocate for prohibition of certain things, and we all know that prohibition has a great history of creating captive and lucrative markets for the lawless...

this site basically debunks that illusion. If you keep staring at the clock wise version, and then stare and the counterclock wise version, you will see that they never change, nor appear to change. But, when you watch the "original" thing, then you will see that it goes one way, and then switches.
I know its suppose to be an illusion, but its not much of an illusion when they are purposely altering the GIF

The original gif isn't altered, it truly is an illusion.
The two gifs that show a clockwise and counterclockwise spin are just edited to help your brain comprehend the spinning in either of the directions better. This is done via the extra white lines that have been added.

my computer here is lagging so badly that im nearly getting a frame by frame thing with the spinning girl, and I swear, that when her toes are facing away from us the viewer, it switches her left foot with her right foot.
Also, if you focus on her breasts, then you will see that they appear from the right side, disappear, re-appear on the left side, dissappear, and then appear on the right side. This shows that she is turning counter clock wise. If you keep staring at her breasts some more, then you will see that it switches to where they appear on her left side, dissappear, re-appear on the right side, dissappear, and then appear on her left side again. This shows that she is turning clock wise
I just find it very hard to believe that my brain changes what i see so randomly, even if Im focused or not focused.
