A movement in Russia to rename the city Stalingrad as a tribute to the battle fought there.
The city's name was changed in 1961 when Nikita Kruschev denounced the regime of Stalin and its practices.

This has been going on for a while, more or less below the surface - the Rotor fans (back when there WAS a Rotor volgograd) always used to refer to themselves as Rotor Stalingrad in their chants and it was not uncommon for someone, especially older, more especially a veteran, to refer to themselves as a Stalingradets

It is weird or even disturbing though, especially in recent times.

I'm getting scared whats happening in Russia. Everything is problem and seen as anti Russian. Spreading anti west, anti European media ect. Yes that is what western Nazis want you to believe. Truth is Russia is being treated badly because sissy Obama has grudge against Putin because Putin didn't allow dirty rat imperialists to go to war in Syria to oust Assad, Putin prevented that and Obama is mad and decided to make Putin the new "Hitler" US has been doing that for decades with many regimes. TO name a few such as Milosevich in Yugoslavia or gadaffi in Lybia.
