[Game] Iron Front: Liberation 1944

I personally don't really care about those reviews, just look at the other reviews they did, they are obviously not the target of this game ;) Still we all know (hopefully by now since everyone keep saying that) that ARMA2 is clunky, crappy yadda yadda etc.. etc.. etc..

Still the content alone is worth 30euro for me, I love Eastern front what can I do? I'm pretty sure I'll enjoy it anyway, hell I even enjoyed RO2 which was not revolutionary in a lot of ways :p

Noodle, I have a question for you because I never really played ARMA2 and I read here and there some confusing things.

In a typical multiplayer game of Iron Front, how many AIs can I expect to find on the battlefield? Are there any bots? Can I for example control a squad of AI? Thanks

That is what your PR/commercial specialist would recommend. If you know that competition offers more you should do whatever you can to distract customers.

They should fire that department honestly, they don't know what they are doing :p

That completely depends on the server settings and you can set parameters and activate/deactivate AI for every mission/gamemode I think (if the mission/gamemode supports AI at all). So far we have played with no AI except for Tank TDM where every player took the role of a tank commander (and of course can also switch through positions like in RO2) and the rest of the crew was AI, so every player controlled one tank. And of course in Coop missions.
But of course it's fully adjustable like nearly everything in ArmA2/Iron Front, so you can always play with your preferences, given that a server provides your favorite settings.

I for myself prefer no AI except for rare occasions, e.g. the Tank TDM where it makes sense and so far I didn't miss it at all and I hope/expect that most of the servers will deactivate the AI except for Coop and Tank TDM missions, because, let's be honest: the AI is very complex, but even with the latest patch it still is very frustrating, especially when you can't control it directly like you e.g. do when you are a tank commander.

It isn't out until tomorrow so whats the point?

The point is to publish the release trailer when the game is released. Some people already got their copy and I'm not sure when the digital distribution sites will unluck Iron Front, but some might do so at midnight and I don't think the publisher wants to release the "out now" trailer at midnight.

Btw: in New Zealand it's already May 25th ^^
