I've almost clocked whopping 100 hours on it and it's just a pre-alpha

Here's some screenshots I've taken in the last few days

It runs 55-60 fps on everything maxed out, except anti-aliasing (which completely wrecks it at the moment). Running on a Gtx 660, 8gb ram and AMD Fx8350. Performance was the same in a biggest battle I've been in (22 ships)

I think it's worth mentioning that this game requires a graphics card that has DirectX 11 and Shader model 5 support, otherwise it will NOT work at all.

Edit: ALSO worth mentioning it is in Pre-Alpha, earlier than a steam early access version. So optimization is far from perfect and will still be worked on a lot.

Looking forward to this game, although I try to avoid early access nowadays this might be an exception once its available on Steam.

Get it mate. You wont be disappointed. Plus the devs seem to be very open about what's going on in the test and which direction the game should go and are willing to listen to the community . They also seem quick at withdrawing any patches which introduce bugs.
