I'd love to know what kind of bug is halting the event this much. What possibly could it be?

My guess is that due to the gravity zeds get stuck behind certain areas at times, making it impossible for you to advance to the next wave. This just comes from my personal experience from changing the gravity as an Admin on different maps. However, this map appears to be all indoors. We'll have to wait and see.
