Hey there. After many hours of work and help from Revenant100 i was able to find a way to replace the zeds with grittier, more old school style versions that also work online. Yes. They are completely clientside. Just extract to your Killingfloor/textures folder (Remember to back up the original UTX files!)

straight up file replacement is just sloppy.
These are custom skins. They're a choice meant to be for the players, not the servers. Create a mutator and you begin running into the many issues inherent with mutators: forcing the skins on all players, lack of compatibility with other code-altering changes (including further updates to the game), and most significantly, the lack of whitelist or greylist support which absolutely murders interest since you'd be sacrificing perks just for aesthetic alterations in this case. None of that is even necessary since no actual coding behavior is made. This package method is simple to make, quick to install, easy to use, and fairly adaptable for future game updates if the need arises. It's ideal for everyone.

Not everyone is keen on replacing core files. The mutators "add" to the existing package, replacing them is an easy method...but not very efficient.

But thats from a modders point of view. Besides that this community is more then able to make a mutator for these skins. :)

I disagree. If mutator, then not whitelisted. And I want to keep it white :D

Replacing core files cause a mismatch between a client and the server wouldn't it?
Nope, not using this particular style of packaging. You're free to use these custom skins and play in any on-line server as you please, which is the sheer advantage of the method over a severely limited mutator. Download, install, and play. No restrictions whatsoever.

Just tested these with Hunter's Rotting mod, WTF, Infected Soldiers, Brute, Shiver, Mauler, and hellfire mod! Bravo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Everything was crazy looking and much scarier!

If there was a way to merge this, rotting and superzombies (for the improved AI), to work along the above mods, it would be perfect!
