Tactics Support Specialist Loadout

A fun (but expensive) combo is also M79 + M32 + M203 + Something else that weighs 6 (like AK, LAR or whatever)
Another expensive one is LAW + M203 + M79 ^^

(Overpowered carrying anyone?)

But like i mentioned earlier: Shotgun + Combat Shotgun + M32 is actually really good as a supportive killer, but heavy on reloads though (all are 1-by-1 reloading)

m79 is effective as support because you can use it to stack and set off your perked frag grenades.

I also use it to destroy clumps of zeds where it would take 2-3 shotgun shots, simply because they're all in a circle, rather than in a straight line.

Also, the addition of another weapon's ammo pool negates the fact that shotguns don't have that large an ammo pool, and means that you don't have to worry about running out of ammo during the wave.

give this loadout a try if you're looking for some laughs and a load of fun :D

single or dual handcannons
chainsaw
machete
hunting shotty

chainsaw for trash mobs and flinching scrakes, HC adds some nice punch at range, while duals massacre trash up close, and maintains that support spec penetration, and the machete for ****s and giggles. hunting shotty is a must in any support loadout.

regular :
Hunting / Pump / Fireaxe (or katana)

and if I got to do a lot of work and we have scrake control:
Hunting / pump / hand cannon

if I wanna have fun :
hunting / AA12

I pretty much ignore Combat Shottie as it is expensive and a big loss if I die. For some reason I find I die more witha combat than with an AA12.

My favorite support loadout is LAR/Hunty with a handcannon. I play on HoE.

Why a Handcannon + LAR? The way I see it, you can use either (instead of both) and then equip a different weapon. What's the reasoning behind this compared to using a pump? I personally use Pump + HSG cause I'm too low level to grab a weapon. (Next level up I'm getting a prochete :D)

AA12 + Hunting, with either a machete, tana or medgun.

Combat shotgun reloads too slow for my liking, and lacks the ammo to fully utilize its semi-auto capabilities. The pump shotgun on the other hand, while a great weapon, tends to get replaced by the AA12 when I get the dosh for it - I find myself missing the extra 40 shells the AA provides.

AA12 + LAW can be good for laughs too. It can be tricky to get a hold of though - $3000 off perk for the LAW, and when on perk you have to ditch your other guns due to the weight.

I know Rainyday fairly well, so I can probably answer this for him. Even off-perked on HoE, the HC will 1 shot clots, gorefasts, stalkers, bloats, and even crawlers, with a careful aim. That's a good chunk of zeds you can kill with just the HC if you're aiming. The LAR off-perked can 2 shot Sirens and Husks. So that allows him to help with them and let sharpies save ammo. The hunting shotgun rainy will generally use single shot, each of which can take out multiple zeds. So lets add up the ammo. HC gets 96 (I think) shots, LAR 80 + 62 for hunting shotgun. That's 138 shots he has to use.

Oh that makes sense:) I personally use the LAR because when I get in trouble, I like to be able to oneshot the crawlers and other "baddies" :) The HC one shots with a headshot, correct? I was under the impression it only decapped, I'll have to double check.

Handcannon / Shotgun / Hunting Shotgun / Machete

The Machete is there just in case I have to fight off a Scrake by myself (It is possible to do the one-shot trick with the machete). Again, with this I can handle most anything the game might throw at me.

Thanks for this suggestion :D

I'm now using a machete + SG+HSG as my standard loadout. I'm not good enough to flinch the scrake every time, out of 20 tries, I'll not take damage maybe 5 times, get hit once for ~50HPs about 14, and die maybe once, which is good enough odds for starting with.
Hitting him with the machete also keeps his head box where it should be, I found that if I didn't bother I still took the same amount of damage, but I couldn't find his headbox, so missed with my HSG and then died.

Prochetes ftw! :D

I think with this it's all a matter of preference. I won't generally use the machete method cause I fail with it more, and if I'm using a handcannon, I get in trouble with it more often than not. I prefer to just stick with the pump/hunting/axe or katana.

If I'm wanting to do a ton of kills with the axe or katana and save shotty ammo, I go with katana cause it's just easier to kill small stuff with. BUT I will say that I screw up the scrake combo more while using katana than axe for some reason. But all in all my computer is axe/pump/hunting. I can generally handle anything the game throws at me fairly decently.

In all fairness, I'm aiming for SG+HSG+Prochete+M79, since that'll give me the ability to crowd control a little better. If the situation is right for a HC, the situation can normally be covered with a 9mm as well, or a shotgun. However, the M79 can be so useful against crowds of crawlers.

My loadout

My loadout

Okay So my loadouts depend on who i am playing with, what map, and difficulty.

-For Hell on Earth and Suicidal I will usually aim for getting an AA12 and a Combat Shotgun because even tho the combat holds less at one time, I can shoot fast. Only downside is reloading haha.

-For Hard (lowest difficulty i play) I will usually choose Hunting shotgun instead of AA12 for most of the game until fleshpound. UNLESS it is an open map. Then i will choose the AA12 asap. I am a Level 6 SS so it doesn't take too long.

-If the map is Waterworks then I will use a an M79 with I think it was a shotgun and a combat shotgun. I cant remember now.
