Progress Bar After Rank 6

I find this to be rather general. If not, sorry for posting in the wrong forum. Also, did a search and couldn't find anything about what I'm asking. Sorry if it's been asked already, anyway.

So, I've got to rank 6 with sharpshooter and with support specialist. I did sharpshooter first, and figured once I got to the top level, the white (well, I guess it's more off-white) progress bar for the perk would just be full, but instead it went down and moved more the more headshots I got with the respectable weapons. The same thing goes for support specialist.

Obviously this is no big deal, I'm just wondering why that happens.

tl;dr Why does the progress bar for perks still have more space to fill up after level 6?

the extra numbers aren't really a bug, and it doesn't mean you get to level 7 either.

It just gives us accurate measurements of our e-peens.

C_Gibby, I never thought it was a bug or a possible level 7, but what you said sounds about right. For our epeens.

The progress bar shows your progress towards doubling level 6 after you hit 6. It's clearly evident with sharpshooter because you can see that it hits 100% again after you get 17,000+ headshots.

Yep it's level 7 progress.

No level 7 yet but I assume there will be. Same thing happened back in the day when many of us hit the "max" of 5. We kept showing progress. I maxed both SS and Commando. When the DLC came out raising the perk to 6 both those perks just flipped automatically.
