What was the first Zed made?

As in, the first Zed designed for the game back when it was a mod, not in-story.

The first specimen designed was the Clot, as seen here. This was followed by the Stalker, Fleshpound, Wretch, and Gorefast, all of which made an appearance in the very first public 1.0 demo release of the mod on Aprill 8, 2005.

What about the Scrake? KF1.0 looks and sounds more like a typical zombie apocalypse by the way, so why all these variations? Where did you get the images for Stalker, Fleshpound, Wretch?

The Scrake didnt show up until v1.0 along with the Bloat. Yes KF originally was about zombies. The devs changed it up when they released 2.0 were it was now about specimens.

The wretch looks like a gorefast but with both arms, damaged head as well, but also looks like a 1.0 clot but with no clothes.

To be honest, If killing floor was just another zombie game It would be less special/boring, Hillbilly horror event will be the closest event we have If killing floor was another zombie game.
