Can't see Welcome Screen . . ?

When I first loaded KF2 with the new updates, the very first server I joined I could see the welcome screen, but since then, I can't seem to see a welcome screen, no matter which server I join. This is particularly annoying because I'd like to see the new welcome screen I made for my server.

Is anyone else having this problem?

I think I found the problem . . . maybe.

My custom screen is working now, but only after I converted it to PING and made it smaller (it was a jpeg). I'm experimenting with the original-sized image in PING right now.

So, in short, this thread would have been better put in server support, and if an admin on this board were to move it, there would be no hard feelings from me.

I managed to fix my problem by just switching my image host. Apparenly Imgur doesn't work for me, but Photobucket does. Go figure.

You can find the Welcome Screen setting in the Web Admin. Check this picture: http://i.imgur.com/EMe4nMQ.png

You have 4 things you can customize: a picture, a clan motto, the welcome message itself and a website URL. I have no idea where the clan motto is displayed though. Also, after I removed the default website URL (http://www.killingfloor2.com/ if I recall), I can't put anything in the field anymore.

I try with Photobucket, but doesn't work.. i have this pic

The image needs to be 512x256. Other sizes may be possible but I have not tried any. (i.e. 256x512, 512x128, 64x64 etc)

edit* JPG not supported but shows up on webadmin when linked, and I host my image(s) on imgur.com it seems to work fine

edit2* Now I'm using 717x700 PNG image, it works fine! It does shrink the motd down to fit the screen though, so I could probably use half the resolution it is currently at.

I got it working eventually. Went with a 512 X 256 png image. I think it was the dimensions that it didn't like. It is still a bit rough around the edges with the logo colliding with the server name if the name is long. I ended up using the bottom half of the 512 X 256 iage to avoid the collision. Not a big priority I guess but it would be good to be able to have a larger server image at some stage.
