Server will the memory leak with windows servers be fixed by the next update?

as far as i know the memory leak on windows servers that check the workshop hasn't been fixed yet. with the beta on the rise, i'd love to have control of my own server for my friends and I to play on, but that won't work very well if the memory leak on windows servers is still making the game borderline unplayable by freezing every couple seconds.

my thread about this issue is here, and the 2nd comment links to others having the same issue as well.

will this issue be fixed by the next update so windows servers will be more smoothly playable again?

I don't even understand that this huge problem hasn't been hotfixed as it seems to be a relatively huge problem on Windows servers :\ Should have been number one priority after it has been discovered.

no server i've joined recently (in-lieu of mine being out of commission due to this issue) has had this issue yet, so maybe not enough servers run on windows or something? or they're just gonna pack it in with the next major update anyway (hopefully)
