Hello there,

Since a day or two, we're trying to get some mutators, notably Maxplayer, and we've ran into a couple of issues. Our server is home hosted on a linux server over Wine.

It's not the only time we ran into problems with mutators. Ever since the only thing we have been using from the workshops are the maps. We feel that the problems we're getting are not really related to this mutator but are more like general issues with steam workshop. Here's the issues we ran into for Maxplayer mutator :
  1. We got the mutator working as of now it doesn't seem it's a configuration issue, the problem lies into downloading it from the workshop (we added the *.u manually). The first problem we encountered after adding the ?Mutator=*** command line in the batch plus the id (675314991) in the configuration file of the server was that the mutator was not downloading at all from the workshop. After booting the logs were displaying something like "can't find class Mutator.Maxplayer". What's weird is that maps from the workshop are working correctly.
  2. Now that we added the *.u file in the server correctly, the server is indeed over 6 players, thing is that some, but not all, players are having issues connecting to our server. The message they got are something along the line of "Mutator version mismatch". After some investigation we know for sure that in their Cache folder they got the according id folder (Cache/675314991/.../) with the *.u inside but are missing the "Script" subfolder. Players with both Cache/675314991/.../*.u and Cache/675314991/.../Script/*.u are connecting to the server without issues. Those with only Cache/675314991/.../*.u cannot.
What's troubling me is that most players don't have any issues.
