We have set up a global CDN that can deliver maps and mods from 35+ data centers around the globe.

Big shout out for skillz ( http://www.skillzservers.com/ ) for sharing the maps/mods with us.

You can check the current map list here: http://kf2.tripwirecdn.com/

Just add the usual RedirectToURL=http://kf2.tripwirecdn.com/ to your server's engine.ini and you should be good to go.

The servers do not care about capitalization, KF-Meh works as good as kF-mEh.

Wondering how quick you guys update a map when it's out.
Do you grab them from an FTP or something or does somebody have to upload them manually?

Dedicated server up but only works with Vanilla maps

I have setup my dedicated server but none of my friends can join if it's a custom map. I've added all of the entries in my .ini files and redirector as well . Still, it does not work and I have no idea what else to do. Any suggestions?

To go into a bit more detail, I've downloaded a number of custom maps. I have added the line for HTTPRedirection. I tried one server for days. Tripwire recommended it... Then I found another TW recommended so I started with that one today but still, no luck. I had my friend's join a game I was hosting on Biotics Lab Vanilla. They were able to join... I had my map cycle setup to where the next map would be KF-DarkDungeon or something along those lines. After we finished with Biotics Lab they all received a message stating "Connection Lost. Map Not Found". This has to be a redirection issue, or port for redirection issue.

And it's worth mentioning that I have worked in the IT field my entire life. All of the proper ports are forwarded so no issues there. But again, perhaps it is the port used for redirection? Surely someone here can shed some light on this subject.

I'm attaching a copy of the last server session I had active with this post. It is long so I decided just to paste it into a text file and attach it.

Please check this out and offer any helpful suggestions. I would greatly appreciate it.

KF-Museum isn't on the redirect server. Where do I download it for my server?
Or is there a way for dedicated servers to subscribe to workshop maps somehow?

The redirect concept is deprecated and for that reason is the TWI redirect not updated anymore. The replacement for the redirect servers is the steam-workshop.

The KF-Museum map is on that steam-workshop. Servers can subscribe to it by following the instructions here. The line to add KF-Museum is:

Hi, thank you for taking your time to read my message. Just curious... two questions for you:

1: If I use the Tripwire Official CDN for maps/mods will it download EVERYTHING from the CDN to my server immediately or do I have a choice of which files I want to be on the server and which ones i'd like to not use?

2: Can I actively use the steam workshop for some maps and a redirect for others not on the workshop? The workshop is quite limited when it comes to custom maps, but they do have some i'd like to keep.

The TWI CDN/Redirect server is just a server where the player will grab the maps from when needed. It does nothing to your server at all you will have to download yourself the maps from CDN and install them in your game server folder.

You can use both Workshop and Redirect, but follow the WIKI and be sure to have the Workshop Download Manager first in the config file.
