Level Design Editor Crash while building lights

So for some reason my editor suddenly crashes when building lights on my map. This is what the error log is saying:

For me it looks like theres missing files but I tried validating files for both KF2 and the editor itself but its still happening. Any ideas?
 
It happens only when building lights, even after removing all lights. However I noticed that when I removed my landscape the error stopped happening... Im thinking it might be the foliage I added (grass and other plants) because Im pretty sure I built lights before when the landscape was there but foliage wasnt...

Yep just confirmed it, removing all foliage placed by the foliage tool fixed it. I will do some more tests to see if its some specific plant thats doing it or all of it.

EDIT: Seems to be any foliage added by the tool... How or why though, is TWI adding the plants by hand in the maps?

Shame, it was so easy to use. How do they do it in the official maps then? Seems like a lot of work to place them one by one even if you copy paste groups of plants because the terrain is uneven.

I havent used landscapes much before (mostly because it wasnt supported in the beginning).

Usually what I do if making maps that needs a lot of ground foliage like grass and weeds, I'll create a few "modular" formations and the copy/paste them around, rotating them and spacing as needed to populate things more quickly. The problem is, as you say, when you have uneven terrain and need to tilt and skew the grass in some areas to avoid having them float.

Ahhh all the time and energy spent in tiny little things that no player will ever even notice we did ;D

I have static mesh as ground, not landscape, nor terrain and the foilage tool works with it. Example on Agroprom 2017 remake or Red Forest. Only bad thing is that if you use too many meshes the splatter maps might not show up and crash the sdk but that only happens if they are overlapping two meshes. On Red Forest I have 98k meshes of grass and everything holds

Some of us do notice. And we appreciate it too. Thanks a lot for the work you put into each map and for these videos. They are helping me a lot and although I don't have the time now, next fall/winter I will be putting them to use.

Indeed, most wont even notice the little things but it would still bother me personally knowing its there lol. Other mappers will pay attention for sure though, I can almost here them shake their heads in dissapointment when they find a floating plant hahahaha. At least the ones I know :)
