Thank you to all who choose to help us out and give us feedback and bug reports!

Sooo, most weapons got nerfed only to make upgrade system reasonable? Not sure i like the idea behind it, but will try soon.
Perk reset gives tons of Vosh, but still i kinda feel it is not enough. I mean i would prefer some real impact, not RNG based drops, pointless icon etc.
Dont want to complain about free content, but still, i hope Prestige system will be somehow improved.

    E: Feedback so far

M99 - nice new weapon. Its ammo capacity is...well... insanely high, compared to f.e. Railgun. With around 40 rounds, i can clean small trash and still i will propably have enough ammo for the rest of a round.
Doomstick - interesting, especially the difference between classic/elite reloading animation. Basically double boomstick with kinda familiar look (dunno from what game).
Upgrade system is interesting so far, it offers some really interesting possibilities (tried upgraded dual 9mms but ammo cap is dangerously low now). I like that we can now use all inventory capacity. What i dont like is the fact that inventory is big enough... well, basically for one T5 weapon. It may be possitive for some perks - will try more variations.

All in all, i like this update. Thanks for doing a great job.

Haven't tried the beta yet, so I don't have a clue as to why would that happen *I have the feeling that is unwarranted as **** though*

i was referring to the comment section about this update on steam. iam very nervous about some of the new features will work out but iam also openminded and know TWI takes feedback. whereas on steam its 95% swearing.

Well great now all the guns are nerfed for now so upgrading them is abouslty nesscary in order to kill zeds along with most of the weapons becoming more expensive and dealing less damage with a higher dosh to clip isn't this just amazing?

Yeah, the M16 got a nerf, the damage increased. So as the m4, the pellet count is higher and is now less weight. Such nerfs amirite

I don't have the chance to give it a proper test today, but found two very noticeable bugs with this beta: guns are floating in front of the player instead of being hold by by the player hands, and sometimes (especially at the start of the match) you can't use the weapons due to them not being equipped somehow (you can cycle through the inventory but gun models won't appear equipped on screen for a while).

Not saying anyone cares, initial thoughts:
    • Nice new UI layouts.
    • Nice to have more variety of field objective other than SYG, though such standardization makes them flat/dull in the sense of execution.
    • Still trying to get my head around the purpose and impact of EDARs, it feels like they exist just to sorta pew pew from a distance to mess with players - especially those who are melee-based.
    • Just a reminder: I'm feeling obligated to address again how weird it is to have thematic Zeds on non-thematic maps.
    • Weapon balance adjustments are being done to cater the new upgrade system, aside from what that means, this diminishes viability of a lot of weapons and takes away their inherent specialty as well as deserved niche in a... ugly... way.
      • For instance, AK-12 as it stands is just a rifle that weighs a block more for a 10-bullet bigger mag than its closest peer SCAR-H and vice versa.

In another word, this is making the difference of each option being more cosmetic than it should be functional/practical. I agree there will be some that are inevitably similar -- but not, like, this.

      • For the impact of the upgrade system, practically speaking, it enables certain weapons to stay relevant as the match goes on, and allowing players to stick with their preferred options more than ever due to the upgrade is repeatable.

This does not provide a real boost to the weapon meta as it stands for the most part, by most I actually meant 90% of the cases, cases that could really benefit from the upgrade would be those that are low rank enough for relatively easy/early acquisition and high rank enough to worth the upgrade (at least on the aspect of cost-effectiveness) as they could become relatively strong enough - fast enough with minimal upgrade/cost, such as Boomstick, Katana, and 500 Magum, though one may also argue that the cost as well as the effectiveness of each upgrade is questionable, if not unfairly formulated.

It's not like most weapons are becoming unusable or unworthy with or without the upgrade system, it's just that it should be done more convincingly, and in my opinion, should be done for Endless mode only.
    • Endless mode: still totally plays like Survival except endless, still not streamlined so the experience is too much of a drag.
      • Enable to purchase everywhere on the map.
      • Trader open all the time, suffers extra purchase cost out of intermission, can only purchase with an allowance out of intermission.
      • High shortened intermission, Zeds can spawn during intermission with half the activity.
      • Low profile Boss intro.
