We have had problems with the directX sound driver to connect to some Creative sound card I will have too check in with the programmer if this is one of those that are known. Best is if uoi can try to disable the card or use another machine for now. The programmer is sleeping as its 1 am here and will not be reachable until tomorrow. i hope you will get the sound to work in another way. I will try to get back to you tomorrow. Try updating your cards drivers also this might help.
