RS Player6432 - In-game name error

Hello people,

I've been having some trouble since I first fired up RS.
Every time I join a server or the 2nd round begins, I have to change my name through the console. It will show up as Playerxxxx. With the xxxx being a random number.

It is getting on my nerves after a couple weeks of playing and I noticed that when I try to change my name, only the name I started playing with works.

Does anyone have a fix for this? Cause I sure have no idea how to make it work as it should.

what name are you trying to use? certain characters don't work. I don't think Russian works.

RS uses your steam name, Player and then a number is the default name assigned when the steam community is feeling shoddy.

Does the issue still occur every time, or was it on a single day that you played the game?

This problem has occurred every time I fired up the game. All others work just fine.

Thr name i first logged in with is T/5 Zukhov [1st RB].
When i type in console setname Karkav, for example, it just goes with T/5 Zukhov [1st RB].
Any attempts to change it through steam haven't been successful either.

If I don't change it through console it'll just pick the random Playerxxxx.
