They could introduce Red Orchestra 2, the German M36 greatcoat, was used in the Battle of Stalingrad, and I did not see anyone suggest this:(

This was suggested long before the game was shipped, but I can see that any sort of coat is difficult to model and not look like cardboard when crounching, running or laying down.

Uh, are you not all there?
The Russians have a greatcoat model for Winter maps already in RO2.
Just reskin it and throw a steel helmet on the guy. Nobody needs to make any new models.

Just donning a German helmet on the model of a Soviet soldier won't be too helpful, since the coats aren't the same:

Doing it would solve one uniform mistake and create another.

I suspect the reason the coat probably won't be officially implemented for Germans is related to the need to better distinguish the sides.

The same can be said about Soviet heroes: that jacket they wear is cheap and crappy, and in 1942-43 it was issued primarily to non-frontline, non-essential personnel. A proper coat is much better against cold and it was given out to the people who were doing the fighting. Bu-u-ut, we have to distinguish them visually somehow, don't we (personally, I don't think they should be distinguished at all: each time I take a class I'm a hero in, I turn into a TK magnet)?
