So, i have wanted to edit my maps to make the relatively harder. Alot of the player that play with are pretty good and the game. So i want to spawn scrakes first round, not a lot just a few along with the clots, to make it a little difficult. I do map edit a bit but i have never done spawn order customizing. Any tips on what i need to do? Haven't found anything on google.
 
I think there is a tutorial around here by Fel that explains how to add wave specific spawns to your maps. You might also be able to use Alex's new story mode features but I have no experience in those yet.

For the method Fel uses; a summary would be that you use scripted triggers placed around the map to use as specimen spawns which are triggered by opening and closing of the trader doors. Counters are used in conjunction with the scripted triggers to keep track of waves so you can have different scripted trigger spawns activate on certain waves.

Try dissecting Fel's Deathpit map. It is small wave based map you can pick apart to see how it works.


You may also use Falidell's Triggerpack for some other more specialized and possibly convenient features when it comes to spawning.

I was dissecting TownOfDisaster, pretty much made the map i am trying to spawn scrakes first round exactly like TOD with scrip triggers and Triggers to enable the scriptedtriggers. All settings on map are the same between TOD and the new map only problem is i assume scriptedtriggers do not enable or spawn scrakes first round. Any help would be appreciated.
