What crazy glitch did the last patch just bring?

Your client is either out of date or the server you're trying to join is out of date.

Farm wouldn't download from a redirect since every client downloads it from steam by default.

I've had players on my servers since the update went live and have some on right now.

I am getting the same problem custom map servers error, and on other servers it is trying to download stock maps or maps i already have... And at an insanely slow pace too..... -.-

We're getting this problem too. We've updated and validated our clients AND our server, and it's still doing this. =/

Edit: Even tried copying the client maps to the server so they're 100% the same version, still does it. Seriously.

"FastDL" isnt some magical bandwidth enhancing service, it just means that the client downloads the map from a remote server with a HTTP request, while "normal" downloads directly copy the file from the game server with a slow FTP transfer, thus taking loads of time.

Obviously, the server owner didn't upload kf-farm on his redirect, thus when the game detects the version mismatch, you download the outdated version right from the server ! Which is slow as balls !

Hopefully this will clear confusions about strangely slow downloads from game servers.
