There is a patch coming today for RO 2. It will be a large download, but that is because we're converting our files over into something that will work much more efficiently with Steam's new content system. Future downloads will much smaller allowing us to update the game more often. Other changes include:

Gameplay
UI
Webadmin
* Attention Modders * We found that most custom maps will need to be republished if you haven't already done so using the opt-in beta. Mutators are generally still compatable, but we recommend all modders briefly test their content. Continue checking the modding forum for more info. |

Now, If I am correct in my theory. The addition of bullet decals for the fixed mg will now cause it to create stutter on my machine. (My theory was that the decals are in some way a cause of this weapon stutter, previously I did not experience stutter on the fixed mg34, but did with the player used mg34).
I'll report back if that is the case. Thanks for all the updates, btw!

Very interesting changes for maps. It should make attacking more interesting and promote smart movement from cover to cover. I notice no changes for Apartments.

I love apartments! Except from the fact the russians can cap the point from behind the wall at the start.

and tanks ? there is a bug wich don't allow three person to manage a tank,the third person not spawn but ,if you go to a ammunition depot spawn

Good news.
My only wish now is a better spawn menu that remembers your last selected spawn and also doens't pop up over the main menu (!). I was also hoping for a fix for the ragdoll bug that was introduced with the GOTY patch. (Bodies flying several meters straight up when killed by small arms fire). |

Somebody pinch me!
Fallenfighters still have a bench that is sunken into the ground bewteen f7 and the water fountain as I recall. Makes it really hard to be prone on it without bugging. Only noticed it due to another bug where I sunk into the ground myself and could see the bench there.. really weird. Last edited by Rehmes; 07-27-2012 at 02:11 PM. |

Glad the prone bug when turning left and aiming down sites is fixed.
That was my biggest bugbear of all. Still, love the game.

Grain elevator is honestly the worst map in the game. I seriously hope you've been able to fix it so that we don't have allies constantly sniping the axis side from across the map now. It's ridiculous how unbalanced it is.

I feel as if some of these changes weren't needed, smart use of smoke and cover are really what make an offense successful. Even though I have yet to see the changes over actual gameplay, some of these changes seem like fixes to help attacking teams who have squad leaders and commanders who don't throw smoke effectively, or even at all.

I hope this also fixes the PTRS/PzB "blank firing" bug where sometimes, randomly, the gun eats ammunition but doesn't fire bullets.

Good update, but I'm not sure why the compass still hasn't been fixed.
The needle is supposed to turn independently from the base, pointing North. I don't know how everyone overlooks this so much. |
