Default Optics

I am in need of optics for the tanks that I hope to get into RO. I have finished modeling a BT7 and I am in the process of UV mapping it now. If anyone has shots of the optics for this tank and the PanzerIII D, KV-1 (1941), and the Hetzer, I would be a happy guy.

I have searched the internet and books but have not come up with any optics for the earlier tanks that I want to make.

Thanks

PS: Thanks Yoshiro for pointing me in the right direction.

Hard, isn't it ?

For the BT-7, use the existing T-60 gunsight - very similar. The Pz IIID i think you can use the existing Pz III gunsight. KV-1 - you could grab the T-34 76 sight for now - same gun. As for the Hetzer, it uses the PaK39 L/58 gun, so probably uses something very similar to the Pz IV or Panther.

Hope this helps??

Yes it is very hard, you would think that with all of the info about WWII tanks that is available on line you would be able to dig up something about optics with diagrams or photos, but I haven't found it.

Yes this helps me a lot Thanks for the feedback.

The main difference was in manufacturing quality... the Germans had the edge. Better glass, better vision quality. The Germans also introduced higher-powered scopes with the late model Panther...

BTW

It seems the Tiger Scope is off in magnification, the Miles (Strich) System doesn't seem to be correct, when ste against Tanks on the Correct ranges... The Panther Scope is closer to the mark imho.

Ive noticed that most of the soviet optics have 400 meters as the first setting and then go out by 200m increments, while germans have mostly 100m increments from 0m. Was this actually the case for each sight as it does make it a little harder to hit with soviet guns.
