Yes, that worked just fine in Insurgency. Only problem was map design (some spawn zones was not very well protected and some maps has choke point.

Imho opinion it should be 5v5 or 8v8 like it was before, with 12+12 it's not a competitive game anymore, it's like playing on a public server with some hardcore players. Nothing more than that.

And even with 12+12.. How would the price pool look like in a tournament? (Even though this is a discussion about the ladder)

Nah, 12+12 too over populated server? No intense in the game with having to sneak around your enemys etc etc etc..

I think that the most competetive mode and most reasonable, compatible, suitable, sustainable style is TE Classic 8vs8, with a minimum of 7vs7 because RO2 plays more sluggish in the competetive scene than RO:O. 8vs8 in RO2 = 6vs6 in RO:O. Yes, storm your opinions by all means but remember that this is probably the only mode that many "veterans" want to see. A multi mode ladder is probably a good solution as I don't see myself to be able to compromize on good, competetive play to the point where I enter a populated ladder just because it's the only option. Personally I cannot play Realism Countdown 18vs18 and probably someone else cannot compromize on their personal prefferences "just" to play TE Classic 8vs8 on the TWI Ladder.

don't forget base21,

that with large maps (which is the case in RO2),
lower player amounts means larger covering of distance before spotting enemy,
which in turn means that players should be able to move faster than in classic mode (this is my counterargument to your story above), or else it will / would
mean more annoyment if you get killed after walking so many yards and being shot from side / in back).

Classic loadout with Realistic movement / reloading... is the way to go imo up to 10v10 / 8v8.

btw... 16v16 will be hardly played. Too many players, there is no oversight. Any team working as a real team there without making stupid mistakes because of the high player number may consider itself pro, because I have never seen something like this working out in competitive matches....

aside.... fragmovies won't show any real skill because it might be bunnyshooting with so many players. 5v5 - 8v8 means a player is able to show his skill and convert it into a video if he / she wants it.

and a competitive scene, has fragmovies 100% sure.

Hello all
Too bad the survey did not offer more options for choosing the number of players in TE TE 5vs5 is really ridiculous
6vs6 remains the minimum requirement for service!
Below 8 players I found that the TE does not really interest ....
In practice 10 or 12 players have good feelings, of cons that remain difficult for some small teams
Say that an option between 8 min and 12 max players would be welcome
Otherwise it opens when the new ladder?

You could also ask why no 9v9 / 11v11.....

It is common for wars to be fought 5v5 or 8v8 and these are standard clan sizes for matchplay.

There is another option for the 'larger' clans to play with increased numbers and I would guess that if both sides have equal numbers and agree, there would be no issue.

Hello there,

voted for TE & CD: 5on5, 8on8, 12on12, 16on16 in Realism Gametype

"Other" means: 6on6, 10on10 for both Gamemodes in Realism Gametype as completion.

Btw.: The Maps are not to big. If you play Red October Factory with 6 Player per Team u only have 3 Capzones (H, I, J). If you play the same with 10 or 12 Players per Team you will have the full number of capzones - 7 overall. The crucial point are the slots of the server. When these are adjusted you have the perfect mix of mapsize and amount of players.

IMPORTANT: I have made an big mistake in the vote above. I didnīt want to play CD in any Type. I noticed too late that I canīt edit my vote. Sry 4 that.

Br,
KeTTe
