ITT, TWI realises the importance of a healthy clan community and makes a poor attemt to revive it, after euthanizing it shortly after the release. Needless to say, the people they are looking for are long gone to other games, pissed off and probably hate the game now.

Thanks for your incisive insight it was most helpful..sounds like you maybe one of those who are struggling to "like" the game?
Either way this is not a "poor attempt" to revive competitive play but rather it is a genuine attempt to allow the community to experience TWI's games in a competitive enviroment.

Anyone may apply for TWIL staff position if they feel they can contribute or see a spot they feel they can fill.
Experience is helpful but not at all a requirement, enthusiasm for the project and a willingless to help our community grow will be just as important maybe more so.

And "the people we are looking for" are right here within our community if they have left we won't be wanting them because we want people from our own community.

From my point of view, the best way would be "CLASSIC" or "REALIMS".

The games would be perfect for 25 vs. 25, but we know that this is impossible, as it was in the Red Orchestra Otsfront. I submit that is 16 vs 16 (would be perfect) or 12 vs. 12, but NEVER less than that, the games of 8 or 6 players lose all the essence of the game, not created the concept of battle maps.

The gameplay propose the Territory since CountDown is boring, so fast..

So much competitive expertise involved in this project, it's awesome. Get Sah and it will become even better. He could perfectly fill a position where he investigates on cheating accusations.

A bit funny to say you want to cater only to the existing community. I doubt new clans will suddenly form so you will be left with what, 6 teams in total? glhf.
I wonder if the state of the game has finally changed in regards of comp features? It's about time considering we are getting to ro2's 1st anniversary. I doubt you know what I'm talking about though, Butch.

All features needed for competitive play should already exist they have been adding many of them after the release.

And just so you know there's 15-20 active clans out there not just 6...

We are not excluding anyone because as Rak stated, those who have no interest have already left, so we have not excluded them as they have excluded themselves.
With regards to me not knowing what your talking about - You are absolutely correct I have no idea what you are talking about but thanks for posting your thoughts anyway..

Happy to assist with anything really, admin stuff I seem good with. Though, I'm better with KF stuff, seeing as it's the primary game I play.

Hi Sleepy

The applications forum will tell you what roles are available.
Please take a look and pm both Yoshiro and myself what role you think will suit you.

Many thanks for the offer

I don't know what is worse, the fact that people always come to gripe about the game or the part where they do not provide any useful feedback (other than "boo hoo I don't like the game" - if you are gonna slap the dog at least say no)

I find the game very enjoyable, and bringing back a competitive environment between clans is a huge + for me. But as mentioned before there is not a large amount of active clans, maybe some incentive to play would be nice. Bring in some new people and such (tourney against devs? )

I'd like to see multiple ladders for different game types. TE, CD, Realism, Classic and so on.

I like your attitude. This is what I've been waiting for, a new ladder where players "decide" what's going on, a new home. Now we must know; is there going to be a league for Ostfront? I will suggest it in the suggestions section btw, clans still play against each others in RO:O.

Havent pretty much all competitive leagues and ladders in the past for RO including ROLadder and ROLeague had councils where clans could vote for both new rules, and other things. In my personal experience its rather that nobody bothers to start a vote for anything at all :P.

I am not sure if interested due to what happened with the clan-scene of RO. The creation of a ladder surely sounds good, but why doing it from scratch again, after destroying what was there already long time ago?

If a ladder somehow is established, I suggest both Realism and Classic

6vs6 and 8vs8

Countdown mode

I have to agree ... the whole RO Ladder debacle has left a lot of the RO Faithful clan gamers pretty disenfranchised to say the least (including myself, even if I never participated in it in the past). If TWI Ladder is going to succeed at all it's going to have to depend almost completely on new blood.

It's really such a shame considering that there used to be such a strong clan community here ...

So I know the ladder is still in its infancy, and I myself have never particiapated in any type of comp ladder, I do have a question.

Are these ladders typically a bracket type competition with single/double elimination or more of a point based where clans can challenge each other on determined day n time, to be an overall point leader amoung the groups?
