Thanks, Yosh/TWI... on a side note, is there any discussion of changing or tweaking the tank AI gunners? Would love to have tanks back on normal servers, but no one wants to put them on with the AI the way it is.

the new font is cool, it doesn't become too blurry with the new 12.4 cat mlaa

congratulations to tripwire on their efforts, i sure hope their hard work will be rewarded with hordes of new (and returning old) players!
i will definitely try to convince as many friends as possible to check out the free weekend. i already told those who already bought it, but haven't been playing for a while, about the great improvements in the beta.

I don't understand why it hasn't been put in place, currently I have no idea which team is talking and you can't read white on snow maps. I've wanted this since day one, anyone without a mic is basically ignored because you can't see chat.

While I don't get the crash back to desktop, the game seems to hang indefinitely without ever joining the server.

Edit: The second attempt, I did get a CTD.

The new update has improved the overall gameplay massively along with pings and performance.

Try to delete your beta config files, this worked for me (no more crashes when connecting to the classic server).

Yes there are appx a dozen players on the server as I type this now..

With that said it will also be useful enough for players to want to use the system, but without completely destroying human players unrealistically like it was before. This system includes functionality that makes the AI less accurate based on many factors such as distance from the tank, movement state of the enemy (walking, sprinting, etc), as well as making the tank AI much less accurate if the tank is moving. Some elements of this system were already in the codebase, but not functioning due to a bug.
  • Added some tank AI configuration elements based off of Ducky's Tank AI mutator
  • You can now rotate the turret of the Panzer IV from the commander cuppola position by looking in a direction and pressing the fire button (you could already do it from the interior gunner position of the Panzer IV and the gunner/commander position of the T34)

Don't know what it was, but the last round I played on Mamayev I must have gotten stuck on all sorts of different terrain and had to suicide at least 3 or 4 times. Luckily (if you can say that) I was killed by the enemy the other times.

Yeah, but what's the difference between this 'edition' and the previous one?
Usually they use the 'GOTY edition' when there's DLC included, etc.
