Default Error RO2 Beta ROGame.exe fails

Today, tried to join the fight night, and RO2 beat fails to launch. No log, just fails to launch. Odd as it ran before.

Tried verifying cache, no luck...
Reinstalled game, no luck...
Deleted .ini files, got as far as ROEngine, ROGame, ROInput, ROUI.

Still no joy...

Could it be I am also in the beta for Rising Storm? (doubtful, as it is running in RO2)

Love to load the Launch log, but since it's empty, no real point.

Did you delete all of the ini files in ..Documents\My Games\RedOrchestra2Beta\ROGame\Config ?

Then look here:

Just about to update, yes I followed the other thread, no joy...

But this time I got dump files, so I guess that is progress.

Seems it is looking for the BaseEngine.ini file, which is there, but I deleted it anyways and it found it verifying the cache, and yet still won't launch.

And your sure you deleted the files in your Documents folder? ie. C:\Users\yourusername\Documents\My Games\RedOrchestra2beta\ROGame\Config Because a verification of the cache would not know if those files were there or not. Nor would a verification of the cache correct any errors in those files. Nor does an uninstall remove any of those files. Nor does a reinstall overwrite any of those files. However, if you delete those files, RO will rewrite them when the game is started.

I don't mean to beat a dead horse, just making sure everyone is on the same page.

You need to verify your game cache.

Your log says:

Code:
Couldn't locate '..\..\Engine\Config\BaseEngine.ini' which is required to run 'RO'
Never delete the default inis

Follow Floyd's advice and delete the ones in you MyDocuments folder.

Fixed it. Thanks for the help. Ended up going to both My DOc, and Steam and deleting anything RO2beta related, reboot and then re-download for it to work.

I had tried it all in segments with no luck.
