Summary - The iron sights on a deployed MG do not lign up to where the shots go when aiming at any angle other than directly forward. Works with HMG's and LMG's.
Category - Code Reproducibility - 100% Description - When you deploy an LMG, or use a HMG and go into iron sights, aim far left / right / up / down near to the maximum and begin firing, shots will often land in the wall NEXT to your barrel, or in the sandbags below your barrel. The more you turn your view from dead ahead, the worse the effect gets. It's almost as if the "Player moving around the gun's bipod" effect that used to be in is gone, and the player simply turns with the LMG deployed on the spot (around the player's axis) while still looking how it should (around the MG's bipod axis).

Interesting side-note, the tracers from the MG seem to follow the player's view of the gun (Or they are penetrating the surface being hit, at least in the last image I showed). HMG image.

Problem is not only limited to HMG and LMG. Even rifles had the same problem when I was trying to shoot while mantling inside the bunker on Mamayev. It must have something to do with mantling/cover system as a whole.

I must report another problem with deployed LMG:
![]() LMG's aim is o high after being deployed via mantling system that it makes shooting from some bunker-holes (I don't know are they called, I don't mean destructable bunkers) impossible. |

I was having problems with the DP28 misfiring. If I deployed the weapon on an object or in a window, the bullets were hitting the wall and the sill and not firing out to where I was aiming. If I just deployed out in the open, I didn't have a problem unless I was aiming down as I was once deployed in a stairwell.

I initially thought it looked as if I was suppossed to be firing from the hip, thus lower and to the right, even though I actually have the mg deployed. As it is, the bullets appear to be originating around where I imagine my right elbow is...

Floyd - I rather doubt it as it'll make firing after mantling and HMG's useless in most cases (especially for an MG'er who is now rarely taken class and then only deployed in the open where the bug isn't present) and if this'd has been intended they someone should inform us by now. It also doesn't make sense from my (first person) perspective in game. You shouldn't be possible to aim in that direction at all then, not be able to and simply hit the obstacle while being clearly visible to the enemy (who can shoot you).

"Unintended consequence" were the operative words in my post. They've changed something somewhere and obviously I don't think that this by-product of that change was something they intended.
The thing with the first person view of the bug I depicted was that the shooter's view showed everything as fine even though the gun was clipping and shooting through the walls. The shooter was invisible and virtually impossible to hit. |

I've encountered both the deploying issue and the bunker firing embrasure issue.
