I have some little freez since this patch. Those freez I got when RO2 wasn't optimized yet.
And we can't take cover inside the bunkers in Mamayev. |

My performance got worse too.

Feedback so far:
Was in the stress test today with Ramm... somewhat of an fps drop and random ping spikes after he changed whatever he changed, but before the change it played quite well. The new Enemy Spotted Logo looks much better, and the system seems to work fairly well. Satchels are improved, allthough they still "stick" to surfaces. They can be thrown reliably into doorways and windows now with some care. (Earned the How I Learned to Love the Bomb Achievement with one in the Beta on Mamayev). Mamayev keeps looking better and better--the new bunkers look better, the trenches are getting filled up with all sorts of interesting tidbits, the sky is appropriately smoky, the city is no longer over-the-top on fire, and the smoke is... different. Not sure about the smoke, but the rest looks pretty darn good. Have to say, though, the attack-defend map would feel so much more epic once you're down to the last caps if the map was set earlier in the battle... the atmosphere still feels great, regardless. Tanks. Well, I can confirm that the tank optics now obscure the HUD icons. Found out too that the Hull MG gunner is still waay too good. Engages targets instantaneously, and generally downs them with a headshot and a short burst. Still waiting on the armor peculiarities, but this wasn't a gameplay patch.

Was on the server today, the performances was decent overall for me.
Still getting the old RO1 bug; the keyboard would switch to qwerty layout (im azerty) for no reason after death or respawning (I suspect it happen when you hold some keys at a "wrong" moment) Not sure if its just a problem just with the beta but its annoying, to say the least |

Had the spotting boxes repeatedly stuck on my screen from round to round but I'm sure they're aware of it. Also the word ACTIVATED constantly in chat and during map vote.

Love the new patch, Mamayew is a very immersive map now. Dunno if there are more changes than the list conveys but it does feel like a more cohesive experience now. I do see a performance increase that's great! I think actually that the sidearm for squadleader does amend the demand for squad smg. Now if you are sl and come into some close quarters just pop up your sidearm, I think that smgs for sl are no longer needed. And if sl get smg and smg class is removed, then ppl will play sl just for the gun, and that we don't want right? :S All in all great stuff, I really look forward til all this is implemented outside beta so I can start feeling good when I earn XP

Wow I downloaded the whole beta again because I saw the "ability to change attachements" change, and after downloading I realized that it did not apply to Classic mode
Tripwire, why can we not have the ability to change attachements in Classic? I mean like, we should have the ability to take the bayonet on or off a gun, since it shows around corners, and I personally think the bolt-action guns look cooler without the bayonet. It wouldn't imbalance the game at all, if not make it harder for the person who is using a downgraded gun. Of course, this would only apply to non-important attachements, like bayonets. But right now you force the ppsh to have a drum mag, so maybe you could put an option for that too? |
