Default Moody's feedback

These are just several things that I am giving as feedback personally after playing 10+ matches on RO Classic, but first I'd like to say my gratitude towards TWI for actually putting forth this effort, and listening to the community. Other devs might have had their egos hurt by all the negative things people have said, but you guys listened and responded. It really makes me feel good to see a company do what you do.


1. Zoom wasn't a bad thing, but in normal RO2 I felt like I was zooming as much as a sniper scope when I pressed shift, I think that a smaller amount of zoom when using controlled breathing would help eliminate some pixel hunting, while still keeping the longer firefights that RO Classic had.
2. Players should have a larger amount of stamina, but stamina should recover more slowly. In the original RO I remember running for long amount of time, but then having to stay prone for a while to recover afterwards.
3. Friendly player names should only come up when you press the tactical view key. The minimal HUD approach to RO2 was done wonderfully except for that, and it really breaks immersion when people's names hover over them in bright green.
4. Less MG recoil, if I'm firing at someone who's more than 50 meters away, firing more than 1 shot at a time is close to useless, which makes suppressing, or even hitting the target more difficult than it should be. A long rifleman shouldn't be able to face off with an MG.
5. I think that stamina's impact on sway could be a bit higher, and that when you use controlled breathing stamina should regenerate at a slower rate.
6. Jumping shouldn't use up as much stamina as it currently does. I realize the way it is now is closer to the original RO, but that's something about the original RO that I didn't like.
7. I think that the MkB should either be removed from classic, or put on the map as a weapon you can pickup. That way the weapon is truly rare in the sense that there's only one throughout the whole match. Considering the nature or RO Classic mode, being able to respawn with a super rare weapon such as the MkB throughout the whole match isn't realistic.

Just my 7 cents, and once again, thank you to the devs for listening to the community.

Edit: The compass only being seen in tactical view would be nice. I'm a big fan of the minimal HUD approach and the compass is just a bit too big. If not this, then a slight transparency or a reduction in size would help a lot. The enemy spotted thing also breaks immersion but shoving a big circle in your face, maybe by make it appear only on the map rather than on screen instead.

Specific comments on parts of your feedback in gold - the rest I haven't tested for long enough to have an opinion.

I'd prefer the opposite - about the same amount of stamina as now, but have it recover faster. I'd also like to see the 'rapid jog' when trying to sprint but exhausted come back in Classic.

Yes. I love having squad member names visible on Tactical view though, preferably hovering over the person, and the list should show their role as well. I think having more access to information about your squad (whom in reality you would know intimately) is a good thing for teamwork.

I quite like the compass. Would be fine if it was tactical-view only though.
Would rather see 'enemy spotted' as a widget, like the orders widget. Simulate pointing out a location to your team mates.
