So, while I'm busy asking questions...
![]() Something weird is happening today. Whenever I try to enter a battle, it won't let me play (only observe) and I see a bunch of what look like camel heads on the screen. This has happened all six or seven times I've tried to join a game.. on various servers. I tried to take a screen shot but it won't come out (which is really weird, too).. just comes up blank. |

Just rebooted my box to try to reset everything, got back in and the same thing. It's bizarre, and even more bizarre that I cannot take a screen shot of it. I've never had a situation where the screen shot function doesn't work.
If anyone else has seen this, let me know. It looks like a normal battlefield, except no players, and a semi-random smattering of identical low-res images that look like blue camel heads, or something like that. |

Tell you what.. I just took a couple of pics with my iPhone. Hoping we can attach photos here... (just waiting to receive my own email). I don't really want to do photobucket or anything.

first photo attached (if I did it right).
Someone from Tripwire, please help! Do you recognize these camels? I can't play the game - at all. |

Those are normal icons for actors in Ued, they are probably the path-nodes that the AI is supposed to follow, though ingame, they are supposed to be invisisble, they should only be visisble in the map editor.
Seems you may have triggered some kind of debug mode, which is very odd..

Thanks for the response, Grobut.
Here is more evidence. Seriously, I see these everywhere, in every battlefield. I can hear the battle going on and I can see (from the scoreboard and chat) that other people are playing, but all I can do is float around and see these camel heads. I played several games yesterday and everything was just fine. |

Try deleting your config files under mydocs/mygames/ro2/rogame/config

This happened to me this morning too. I fixed it by verifying the integrity of the game cache in Steam. It found two corrupt files, redownloaded them, and no more camels!
-Load Steam -From the Library section, right-click on the game and select Properties from the menu. -Select the Local files tab and click the Verify integrity of game cache... button. -Steam will verify the game's files - this process may take several minutes. -Once the process is completed, the Check Window will automatically exit. |

No luck.
Maybe I'll try reinstalling.

Verify cache first please as suggested above you.

If I still have problems, or encounter the problem again, I will take the (much quicker) route that you outlined above. Thanks -h |

I am having the exact same proble. I can take the screenshot in steam but it won't let me upload them gonna try the verify steam thing. I seriously think someone from tripwire should get onto this - it really is unacceptable. RO is no longer a mod - I paid for it

is camel's head a technical term or do you literally mean
http://fohn.net/camel-pictures-facts...ad-800x600.jpg ? in case you didn't know, the russians actually rode camels to war as part of an is-4 experiment, but the experiment got the hump. Last edited by Sah.; 02-08-2012 at 07:34 PM. |

Dude, don't listen to anything Yoshiro is saying. This is a serious conspiracy and the one and only way to go is to call Fox Mulder and Dana Scully. And keep this whole thing low profile!

With that music playing in the background I would believe anything.
