So here I go again. I'm commander on Station already called arty 2x. My SL has put a target down, how do I choose which arty icon to hit? I've clicked on his target but I don't see any change in the color of the icon. I don't get arty any way for some reason, all I can do is Force Spawn and Recon.

You need to use a radio to call in artillery. I beleive the menu that comes up on the radio also handles the selection of artillery locations. The one you click on will turn green I think, and the others will be yellow.

Thanks Cwivey, I do use the radio, I have seen the icons go green sometimes. I guess you have to fool around with the mouse to make it green then click it and hope it works.

In theory, there's supposed to be colorization of the icons. Green is your mark and the SL marks. The current mark is supposed to be yellow. The current active drop is red (all others disappear during active drop).
HOWEVER, this is rarely the case. The system is bugged. Never trust the "yellow" icon, one must always click on the intended target (I always click multiple times) to ensure that's where the arty falls. Sometimes it doesn't change color and remains green (although the arty WILL fall there). Complicating matters, if you use the above method of clicking, it sometimes causes other arty markers to disappear (deleting them). Also, note that one must re-click during a second round if multiple markers exist. The system defaults to the previous mark even after beginning a new round (so you'll drop arty far away from the intent). Also, the system defaults drops to the commander's mark if you haven't clicked one (sometimes...but not always). As another matter, sometimes when only 1 mark exists, the interface will require that you click on the green icon to designate it (but not always). Overall, the UI is quite poor and complicates matters greatly. So, in short, just click the hell out of the intended icon to ensure it lands where you need it...screwing up one arty drop can cost you the match.

Thanks Johnny, I should go to an empty server and experiment, I hate the TKs I get from hitting a previous target lol.
