You asked about patches...

Tripwire is very excited to announce that we're nearing completion of our first major update/patch for Red Orchestra: Ostfront 41-45. The focus of this update will be addressing some known issues, bug fixes, major optimizations and two new weapons: the German MP41 sub-machine gun and the Soviet Mosin M44 rifle.



This will be the first of an ever-increasing flow of new patches containing weapons, maps, vehicles and last, but not least, lots of new game-play features! This is planned to be a steady stream off into 2007 and best of all is this will all be coming to you for free!



Expect more details on this over the next few days. Don't forget that we like to hear your feedback and ideas on the game: keep them coming on the forums.

im dissapointed in the weapons the 41 isn't new as it was in the mod :|

m44 is great tho!

yes the mp41 was in the mod, but it's still new to Ostfront. Also it's been completly redone from the ground up. Don't worry there will be plenty of other goodies coming

You know:

I would actually like to pay for extra maps coming from Tripwire.

But please keep things like extra weapons, vehicles, uniforms and the sort free, so that every custom map will be compatible with any copy of the game.

i guess the use of an mp41 will take up an mp40 slot, so there will still be the same number of smgs, but more variety.
