I'm pretty sure the default scopes are 1.5x zoom. They're pretty useless as is I can tell you that much.

this post has me scratching my head. if you don't know what magnification the pu scope on a 91/30 is, you clearly don't own one. so how can you say with any certainty, that it was useless?

Okay I just worked out where I pulled the 1.5x from. The default scope on the Scoped Gewehr. By the way I'm talking purely about in-game here.
