I cant seem to fire a mounted MG accurately, even if they are deployed, I'm not talking about the emplaced ones. I could work with them fine in the old RO. but right now I"m actually more effective at sniping people with the MP40 then a mounted MG34. do I need to rank up with it to make it more effective?

Yeah, you need to rank them up and it gets a little better. Off the bat, they're horribly inaccurate past the first shot. It's a really needless nerf. Even firing in short bursts, the first round is on but everything after that seems to jump all over the place because of recoil.

ok cool thanks for the reply ^^. ancestors fought in the war with the old .30cal so I try to appreciate all the MG"s I can. I'm glad it gets better because I can really suppress nor really hit anything that isnt using my MG barrel as a seat. kinda reminds me of the old BF2 days using the M249.

I've found it helps with the LMGs to drag back on the mouse slightly every time you fire a short --short being a key word here-- burst. The recoil still jumps around a bit, but the slight mouse compensation goes a long way to improving your MG accuracy, especially at lower levels.

As I have a L50 DP-28 and a L45 MG-34, I can say that, without a doubt, leveling these weapons up will result in significantly less recoil and better handling. Even at these levels, full auto spraying is not worth it unless it is at short ranges; I'd recommend leading moving targets slightly and firing a burst of 3-5 bullets (with the MG34) or 2-3 bullets (with the DP-28), see if you score any hits, then fire a half second later with your next burst for the most effective usage of the deployable LMGs. Also, given how deploying an LMG is somewhat buggy / picky about where you can prone+deploy, make sure that in the bottom right of your screen that your LMG is "rested" (the little LMG on sandbags icon is visible), otherwise your accuracy will be horrific even when burst-firing.
