Map White List Website With Screenshots

After losing our sanity several times over, PixelDuck and I would like to introduce to you the:

Killing Floor Map Whitelist Website: http://sykosis.co.uk/kfmwhitelist/

We painfully, but lovingly, created this website for all those KF players out there that wished there were screenshots of the whitelisted maps. So long as the white list is updated, so will our website to reflect those changes. We promise!

We've tried really hard to source as many maps as we could, but unfortunately there are a few that couldn't be included due to no downloads available, non working versions etc. Please help us out if you can by looking at our Missing Maps page and seeing if you have anything listed there.

FEATURES

* No less than 5 and no more than 7 screenshots for each map
* There are serveral different browsing modes
* A favourites map section
* A very clean and easy to navigate website
* All maps are hosted on our own server and in .zip format
* Every map is tested prior to being added to make sure it's working

A brief description of the website: it's the map whitelist, with download links for all maps but with the added bonus of screenshots for every single map. Yes, every single map (well, the ones that worked). We've added over 200 maps to the website over the past week.

I'd also like to mention that we're using a blog system (WordPress) for adding maps. This will make it really easy (like, piece of cake easy) to add and remove maps (now that the main list is done).

So, some features we'd like to list out:

Main browse page:

- The main browse page (index page) of the website is a standard blog setup that we've completely customized to show featured images. At the moment, it's in a backwards alphabetical order, as we've added the current whitelist as is. This won't be in that order when we start adding new maps whenever there are new ones added.

- Paging: you can easily browse through the many pages of maps or you can click on the "View All Maps" button, which will load all maps in alphabetical order with images

List View page:

The "List View" page might be the most appealing to people. This is pretty much similar to the whitelist in the forums, an alphabetical list of maps, authors and a download link. Clicking the map name will take you to the single map page.


Search:

We have a properly working search. Search for, say, castle, and it will bring up maps with castle in the map name. Search for a map author name, and will bring up maps made by that person. We're currently working on tags, which will take a little time since it was an afterthough, so people can search for snow, night, day, rain etc maps. You can do it already but it won't bring up everything... yet.

A big thank you to all those mappers out there for making some amazing maps, to BartBear's site for providing us with some downloads, various user links throughout the forums and the Godly thing called Google for even more downloads. Last, but not least, we both hope you guys enjoy the website x

but I noticed your missing 3 of my maps (actually 3rd one isnt really my map just the idea):

KF-Survival[v2] - whitelisted

KF-RainyDay - non-whitelisted

KF-Offices[BT] - non-whitelisted

also.. possible there mappack?

Thank you! :D Yeah, we really felt like there was a lack of screenshots available to look at before downloading so of course, that is the biggest part of the site.

lol thanks RoBoT. I'm glad you think so :D Also, sorry about missing one of your maps. I did go through the whole thread, but since we were dealing with a lot of stuff I somehow missed that one. Unfortunately, I've tried all of the links listed for downloads of KF-Survival[v2] and tested them all, but I'm not getting any perk progression on it. Also, I have just come across a couple of other people that posted in the Current Map White List saying it wasn't levelling for them :\ Do you have a working version of it at all?

As for the other maps, since they're not whitelisted we can't add them as the website is strictly for whitelisted maps only.

Oh and funny you should mention about a map pack because we already had the idea of creating one for the Favourites (we'll be adding more to that) and possibly a community favourites map pack too?

Created this account just to say thanks for the site. Got the game on Halloween Steam sale, and I've just now started to explore unofficial maps. Amazing list, and I've downloaded half of the ones listed already. Currently at the "P"s and taking a break so the family can get some net time. :P

May I request you also upload white listed mutators as well?

I just checked whitelist thread and it was gone... I ll ask TWI about it

I think KF-RainyDay cant be whitelisted at all because its using different gameplay (from topview)

but i ll request KF-Offices[BT] to be whitelisted, since there is nothing wrong with it

Thanks slavek. We hope it will be particularly helpful for server admins. We know what it's like as we run a few servers ourself.

Oh cheers for that. We looked everywhere and couldn't find it! I've already added it to the website. So hard getting screenshots of lights out maps though

Thank you for taking the time to sign up just to say thanks. Glad you're finding it useful already

As for the white listed mutators, we're considering doing this once we've gotten over the whole work we did for the maps (has been suggested and thought of a few times now!).

Yeah! Of course it's still listed in Yoshiro's post, but not in the main list which is why I probably missed it even if I did check the whole thread! What a shame... I was all ready to screenshot it :P

I posted a message saying the last two on the list give 404 errors. Police Station and Military Stronghold. It was waiting for a mod to okay the post (I hate that when forums enable it), but I'm just gonna repost, because god knows how long it'll take them to say it's okay.
