I think that the way suppression is added in the game is rather well done. In moments like heavy artillery hitting you straight from above I definately try to find a roof over my head. I like how that when your allies around you (especially squad leaders/commanders) die that you get suppressed.
What I think would be a good idea and help add to the ferocity of close quarters combat is that if you're getting charged at by an enemy you should get instantly suppressed as when artillery hits down on you and therefore have your accuracy greatly affected etc. Lets face it, if you had a guy yelling at you and charging you with a bayonet (courtesy of the awesome SFX implemented) you wouldnt be cool, calm and collected which I find a lot of players are - which in turn just allows them to casually shoot you. So basically implementing this supression would promote them to also melee because shooting would be near useless due to the absolute fear and adrenaline they'd be experiencing! Thanks |

I think this actually is in-game. At least, I think it is. I know when a few buddies and I sprinted and held down our melee keys while rushing an enemy position, two of the enemy troopers in cover started spouting off variations of the "we're suppressed!" voice lines in their army's native language. I'll have to test this, but the suppression effect may have been caused by the multiple people sprint+melee charging at the same time.

Damn, I have to try this. Because otherwise "charge" (but not melee) is useless.
