Same. It's not bad bad, as in it's still playable. But it's annoying all the same. Especially so when you do stat fps and see the fps is a pretty consistent 55-60.

And just like you, the other maps are perfectly smooth.

I'm also getting stuttering. On station, barracks, and pavalos house.

In the beginning of the map everything is fine, but after a while I get stuttering.

I only play on 64 servers btw, if that has anything to do with it.

I have the same experience, at first I thought it was a memory leak, but after running some tests and monitoring task memory it appears that there is another issue causing the problem (although my tests are not conclusive).

I will continue to try alternatives, but as of now, I am rapidly running out of options.

If you have decent fps but have micro stuttering go into you RO engine file in my documents search for [TextureStreaming] under it is PoolSize set it to half your video card ram.Example I have 1024 Vram on my card so I set pool size to 512.Unless its been changed the default was 140 this will help you card load textures more efficiently.

Should help with micro stuttering just dont set it no higher than half your Vram or you could have stability problems.

Thats actually a good point, I've done that tweak plenty of times before to great success ( like an extra 15 fps ). But I'd forgotten to re-do it after verifying cache at one point...

Indeed not tried many memory cache settings since last patch and not sure if I have come across that one 'TheRealGunther'. Giving it a runout now

Wish me luck

Pavlov's house for me is the WORST...its horrible, I really hope they can fix this in the next patch. But I do also get stuttering on other maps as well...

What's the location of the Engine file?

it seems to help a bit. I had to set it to 384 since i have 768 vram on my card.

I still get some stuttering on pavlov, and i havent properly tested station yet.

+1
Even lowering sound settings to 16bit and channels to 16 etc does not make a difference.
Setting the streamingtexpoolsize to 512 (1GB vidcard) has a slight influence to it.

Yes, changed my sound config to 8 channels and low sound quality and it's running a lot faster (gained +20FPS).

ps.: But it still stutters

Just set it to 32 channels low quality the sound difference is minimal.

Afaik less channels means less sounds as when i set it to 16 on my machine i occasionally dident hear sounds around me.

BTW: to all those out there with dual GPU cards or crossfire, get radeon pro. Turns out my 4870x2 ( one card ) IS internally crossfire. Using radeon pro more than doubled my fps on higher settings.

Lets make sure we keep things defined properly.

Sound stutters are one thing.

Microstuttering is a very specific problem area usually attributed to multiple GPU setups (like crossfire or SLI, or using a dual GPU video card like the GTX590 or HD6990).

I run two 6970s in crossfire and have not experienced any microstuttering in this game.

I have very very rarely had some sound stutter issues, but it usually only happens once per map, so I presumed it had something to do with th esound not being loaded from the drive yet, and once it is loaded it resides in memory and is not a problem.

If you actually have microstuttering that is caused by multi-gpu solutions, first try is to update your video card drivers, and download your graphics vendors latest application profiles. This may help.

Sound stuttering may have something to do with what is called DPC latency, which can be caused by an insufficient CPU, or by driver issues.

This game is unusually CPU dependent, so if you are having these issues that's probably your issue right there. That being said, updating drivers is free, so the first thing to do is to check to make sure your audio, video card, and various other drivers are up to date (even if the driver seems unrelated, if it is in the DPC Queue at the same time, and it has an issue, it can affect the driver for your audio, even though it is not directly audio related in and of itself.
