Default Vehicles

Hi, I just wanted to say I really pumped up for this Expansion pack and keep up the good work guys.

As the title says, you may know that vehicles played a big role in WW2, so I was wondering we will see a wide range of Vehicles depending on the map?

Like the Type 97 Chi-ha Medium Tank which 2,213 were produced.

Which could go against the M4 Sherman

Light tanks-

The Type 95 Ha-Go light tank were produced at-least 2,375 more than the Chi-ha tank.

Which could go against the M3/m5 Stuart light tank

Now- To your Scout cars

The Type-95 Kurogane

USMC- Willys MB/Jeep

And now Halftracks and APC-

Type 1- Ho ha ( Was Developed in 1941 but mass produced in 1944 can be used for later maps like Okinawa, Iwo Jima, etc..)

APC- Type 1- Ho-ki

Tank Destroyer-

Type 3 Ho-Ni III ( Was not that heavily Produced only 41)

USMC-

M3- Half track

APC-

M8 Grehound

Tank Destroyer-

M10 Tank Destroyers

Please add in the most important ones first and if you have any spare time you can do the rest, thanks for reading.

I'm pretty sure if you look at 2 or 3 screenies they released some time ago, you can see a Ha-Go and a Stuart M3.

There is no info on how the maps will be, so halftracks and larger tanks probably won't fit in. You have to think about production time too, it takes a good load of time and effort to make the intiriors to those tanks, so I doubt many vehicles are going to be put in.

Hopefully the maps, features and weapons will be fantastic though.

I am not too sure that an M10 tank destroyer would have much work to do in the PTO.

Gotta love the Kurogane, tho - a little olive green Noddy car.

As far as I am aware, the only tanks used by the Allies in the Pacific were the M3 Stuart, M4 Sherman, M3 Grant/Lee, M7 Priest and modified LVTs. I don't recall the US using APCs or half-tracks, only Amtraks and then only really for landings.

Would be interesting to see the M3 Lee in the Burma map, although I don't know for sure if they used at Nhpum Ga.

Default Iwo

As a note you'll have no use for either of those Japanese troop carriers on Okinawa or Iwo Jima. Typically on the island you see (and still find) the light and medium tanks, bicycles, occasional motorbikes (Guam and Saipan), artillery wagons and cassons (horse drawn - Peleliu). But never a troop carrier other than a crude civilian truck empressed into military service.

Off the top of my head here is a list of the USMC armor and land-based vehicles you'll see. An Army list would be slightly different for those island campaigns that they took part in. As I know it, this list is gospel. I don't think anythings been left out.

Guadalcanal and Northern Solomons 1942 to 1944:
M3 Stuart light tank
37mm anti tank gun w/ "Marine" gun sheild (very different from US Army standard shield).
Jeep
Truck
M4A1 Sherman medium tank (Cape Gloucester).

Tarawa, Nov 1943:
M4A2 Sherman medium tank (first time ever used by USMC in WWII)
M3 Stuart light tank
Jeep
M3 Halftrack w/ 75mm howitzer (mounted not towed)
37mm anti tank gun

Roi-Namur, Kwajalien, Saipan-Tinian, Guam 1944:
M3 "Satan" flamethrower tank
M4A1 and A2 Shermans
M3 half track w/ 75mm howitzer (mounted not towed)
Jeep
Trucks

Peleliu, Sept 1944:
M4A3 Sherman
M3 half track w/ 75mm howitzer (mounted not towed)
37mm anti tank gun
LVT w/ mounted flamethrowers (only seen these used on Peleliu, and used far inland going from Peleliu to 1,000 Man cave and Negesebus island causeway).
Jeep
Jeep Ambulance

Iwo Jima, Feb-March '45:
4th and 5th Marine Divisions use M4A3 Shermans
3rd Marine Division use M4A2 Shermans
Zippo Shermans (flamethrower)
M29 Weasel
Jeep
Jeep ambulance
M3 halftrack with mounted 75mm howitzer (mounted not towed)

Okinawa April-June 1945
M4A3 shermans
Zippo Shermans (flamethrower)
M29 Weasel
Jeep
Jeep ambulance
M3 halftrack with mounted 75mm howitzer (mounted not towed)
Trucks

NO troop carrier half tracks for USMC on any islands.
NO M10 tank destroyers for USMC on any islands.
*Again, armor and vehicles for US Army will differ from USMC.

Ah man, it would be hell in an M10 tank destroyer moving through the jungle or in a firefight. If you don't know why well let me say: Open top + Japanese possibly right under your nose with bayonets and swords.
