Choosing weapons in class selection screen.
Frankly I feel we do not have enough time for this at the beginning of a match. I have missed spawns or been locked out of a role just because I'd rather use one or the other weapon and the match started or someone else took the role while I was just clicking to change the weapon choice....I beat them to the class choice but got locked out because I didn't want the unlocked weapon(s) and had two extra clicks to make before I was locked into that class.
So my suggestion is to make the delay for a match start just a tad longer and most importantly separate the selection of a role and the choosing of your weapons for that role into two discreetly locking steps.
1) Choose the class, locking it in. Either just make clicking the class "lock it in" or have a separate button below the classes list.
2) Choose your weapon. Lock the weapon choice in by a final "ready" button; add a little bit of time to the initial spawn timer to allow for the extra clicking, minimizing the number of people who miss the initial spawn.
--or, a little more complicated because it is a different way than the current system, but perhaps better: even get rid of the weapon selection half of the role selection screen altogether and just force everyone to choose from available weapons for their class with a splash menu upon their first spawn. This way there is no need to increase the initial spawn timer as everyone spawns with the role they chose (I feel there is enough time for role selection, just not both role and weapon selection), only they must choose a weapon before they can move or do anything.
