Default Are There Any Tactical Servers Out There

Hi Guys,

I'm new to Tripwire and RO2. I will say that the game and team are outstanding! Now to the purpose of my post: I am looking for a tactical server. I realize there are several servers and clans that are now adopting RO2 as another game to their current game que, but also some that may be attempting to make a full-transition. I see several "tactical" servers already online when I'm looking for a game.

However, I am wondering if there are any tactical servers that are more geared towards crouch-style play with iron-sights up? I realize the game is new for so many, so perhaps traditional tactical servers are still getting a "feel" for the game and determining what "in-house" rules to implement.

If you are associated with a tactical server with crouch-style play and iron-sights please send me a message, I would like to play with you.

If you're still reading this I have transitioned away from World At War:COD and am now stricktly RO2. I started FPS tactical style when MOHAA and MOHSP came out. If you're young those are the Medal of Honor games that got most of us old guys hooked before those brands lost focus.

Thanks again for take the time to read my post and thank you Tripwire and others who provided valuable feedback in developing this game!

See you all on the battlefield!

You should be looking for a crouch server? (Don't think theres any out there atm)

I remember them being popular in MoH and CoD, not my idea of tactical tho.
If you are looking for a Tactical clan that isn't into R & G at all, check us out.

We run a 16 man server at the time as it seems the smaller matches are a lot more strategic and less spammy feeling than the bigger ones.

Feel free to sop by and game with us anytime. We are usually active between 6pm - 1am, I'm an old MoH/CoD TR vet also.

sorry but crouching has never been particularly tactical or realistic in any game. also the crouch is so slow in ro2 that it'd be rather pointless trying to charge into an objective at slightly more than a snail's pace. if the real armies were meant to fight in crouch, how come they ran so much in training?

I am also looking for a server that are public, but based for players that want to play more tactical. Obviously this means a server with maximum timelimit (which unfortunately only is 45min), no kill cam, all classes and such.

Everyone is free to play the game they want and how they want to play it

You may struggle to find a crouch server on RO2 however because of the size of maps. I know a couple of crouch clans that have crouched servers on Black Ops but i havent seen them implement them on RO2

How is this realistic or tactical in any way, shape, or form?

There are alot of people that "like" crouch servers, in CoD it was a way to make the game more TR like without mods. Some servers actually had(ve) crouch mods.

To each his own though.

As for no time limits (Lockdown) and such, as of now it's hardwired into the map from what i've been able to find out.

Thank you for the feedback I will be sure to check those out. I thought a smaller server may be more of what I'm looking for. I have two leads so far and will exlpore those options.

I hate to do the following but I realize there are so many novice posters out there:

If you're not adept at forums as of yet, let me share some advice, reply to posts pertinent to you. I am aware that a "crouch" server may never exist on RO2, which is fine by me, but what I stated was I was looking for something a little more "tactical." So I won't name any names, but please learn from us older guys and don't feel that you always have to share your opinion with the group. 1. We don't care. 2. It's a waste of our time and yours. 3. We still don't care.

Cheers!

I'm all for you playing where you like, but its not tactical.

I don't know any crouch servers at the moment but I would definitely keep looking for servers hosted by clans who supported it in other games (I'm going to go ahead and guess CoD2/5).

Good luck!

I'd miss servers that have a long (unfortunately, 45min is maximum in RO) and plays the same map for about a week.
