Default Will the mod tools come?

I am about to make a WW1 SP Mod.

COD2 or RO.

Now I know that the animations and the features COD2 doesnt what I want, like bayonet, is in RO. So I would mod for RO.

But TW seems to have problems with getting it out.

So I would like to know if you expect the tools to be out within 1 month.

I want to know what I should mod it for. RO or COD2.

RO gives me what I want, realism.

COD2 give me the ability to actually mod it.

Who ever knows if it is possible to make the tools work with steam?

This is a great game with a lot of potential in a WW1 mod. But if you cant get the tools out because of steam, then we can say "this mod should have been done for RO with its realism" but if nothing is being done, I am forced to go to COD2.

And if I go to COD2 and the mod becomes a success, as I expect it because it is open source, then it becomes hard to move to RO because of two engines.

At least I can mod for COD2. If I wait, I can make a better mod for RO.

But who knows if it ever comes out? With all these problems, it doesnt seem like it can be done.

I would like staff from TW to answer this honestly.

Apparently they've made some substantial progress on getting the SDK to work with steam. Im sure it should be out in a month.

Ok - we are, I am promised faithfully, within 48 hours of putting out the SDK, with all the documentation and everything... so mod for RO All you have to do is hang on a couple of days...

Amazingly, I keep pinching myself to make sure I am not in a dream world. I'm more than impressed. Alan, all I can say is Tripwire has certianly proven they are well above the mistakes and arrogance of others.

The support and levels of useful communication offered by Tripwire are indeed a refreshing change of pace to be enjoyed and treasured by all of us migrating from the disastrous trainwreck of CoD2.

We will be making a very important announcement this coming Friday at our site.

I am so grateful for all you folks do.

My beginnings as a mapper are about to begin.

Mark the day the SDK comes out in the history books, and everyone be sure to document my first map. I'm sure I'll be famous.
